Lead Partners

In Powell River, the Powell River Credit Union Financial Group and the Powell River and District United Way are currently active as lead partners.

Their responsibilities include:

  • Applying for the capacity funds
  • Hiring staff
  • Recruiting participants for the Council of Partners
  • Participating on the Council of Partners to develop and implement a local Success By 6® initiative
  • Ensuring the ECD Provincial Partnership Success Criteria are completed
  • Encouraging and supporting the sustainability of their Success By 6® initiative

Lead Partners work to ensure broad community involvement in the work of the Council of Partners. They make every effort to ensure the ongoing success of Success By 6® in their communities.

Council of Partners

The Council of Partners is a cross-sectoral body that draws together individuals who are active within their respective sectors within the Powell River Area, and who are committed to champion the vision and goals of Success By 6. Council members are volunteers. They oversee and support the work of Success by 6 and apply their wisdom, influence, connections and their understanding of our community to help achieve our goals.

There are several independent community members on our Council of Partners as well, including parents, a physician, retired educators, and others interested in helping to achieve our vision.
